I look pretty good for a 58 year old woman. How would I know if I need to add a necklift to the equation?

Question:

I look pretty good for a 58 year old woman. I love to exercise and I have maintained my weight. But I am very self-conscious of my thick neck. I would really like to have liposuction on my neck. Is this procedure done under local anesthesia? How would I know if I need to add a necklift to the equation?

Answer:

I would be happy to see you for a consultation with computer imaging or at least photos of you and give my opinion on what you would benefit from. Most 58 year olds would need at least a mini-facelift along with neck liposuction. These procedures can be done under local anesthesia or sedadion (twilight) or general anesthesia. If you look at the before and after photos on my website, you may see similar necks to yours and see what the different procedures were able to accomplish.
