Will I experience more wrinkle reduction from a true facelift or from Botox injections?
Facelift surgery and Botox and Dysport perform different functions. Botox and Dysport relax the muscles that are causing wrinkles while surgery lifts and tightens the facial soft tissues. In my experience, the results from surgery are more dramatic then with Botox and Dysport.
I am a 51 year old female and I have some crow's feet and just a few wrinkles on my forehead. I am interested in some Botox treatments in Philadelphia. However, some of the people I have seen look like cartoon characters after the treatment. I am in a sales and training position and I truly talk/express myself with my face. Would this be an appropriate procedure for me?
Yes, you would likely benefit from a Botox treatment. If you want to maintain some function of the muscles to continue to look natural, I would give you a low dose so that the muscle function remains.
What areas of the face is Botox successfully used on? I would like injections in my frown lines, but wonder if it can also be use for the crow’s feet around my eyes. Are there other areas of the face where Botox works well?
Botox and Botox’s new competitor, Dysport are typically used for the frown lines between the brows, the horizontal forehead creases and the crow’s feet. I also use botox for the vertical lip creases and dimply chins and for the vertical bands in the neck. They are also used for hyperhydrosis (excesssive sweating) of the armpits and palms. These injections are very popular with no downtime.
