My furrows on my forehead cause me to look sad and angry. I am a male seeking this surgery and I am worried about looking too polished. Can a brow lift remove the angry lines without making my look too effeminate?
Yes, there is no need to make a browlift patient look effeminate. With male patients, I don’t arch the brow as much as with a female and with upper eyelid surgery which is often done with a browlift, I don’t remove as much skin or muscle so as to not give a feminine look.
I want a brow lift to shave off the years but I am worried about my facial expression post operation. Will I lose my normal expression after the brow lift?
The only change in facial expression after a browlift is that the muscles that bring your brows together when you look mad are mostly removed to give a more relaxed look and help keep the brows in their elevated position. Oh yeah, the other change in facial expression after a browlift is that patients smile alot more!
Is there a difference between a brow lift and a forehead lift? I feel like my forehead makes me look so much older than I am. How can I address this?
The terms brow lift and forehead lift are typically used interchangeably. These procedures use a number of different incisions to allow the forehead and brows to be elevated to a more youthful position. The muscles that cause the brows to be pulled down and that make the creases are modified to give a much more youthful, awake and alert look.
My eyebrows have been drooping and it makes me look fatigued. I heard that a forehead lift can help me. How does the surgery work?
A forehead lift also known as a browlift is a surgical procedure that replaces the forehead and brows in a higher position that is seen in more youthful patients. This surgery makes patients look much more awake and alert and youthful. Eyelid lifts (Blepharoplasties) are usually combined with forehead lifts/browlifts to complete the rejuvenation of this area.
