Would injecting BOTOX around the brow line create something that looks similar to a forehead lift?
Botox or Dysport injected in the glabella (the area between the brows) and just above the brows in the muscles that cause the vertical creases, into the crow's feet and into the lateral area of the brows weakens the brow depressor muscles and does cause brow elevation. The elevation is not as significant as that seen with a surgical brow lift.
I want to maximize the results of my injectable treatment. Does Radiesse or Restylane provide longer lasting smoothing of facial wrinkles?
Radiesse probably lasts longer then Restylane, but I believe that Restylane is better tolerated. I have not seen any complications from Restylane. Inflammatory nodules are described after Radiesse injection. For this reason, I prefer and use Restylane and Juvederm which is another hyaluronic acid filler.
Will I experience more wrinkle reduction from a true facelift or from Botox injections?
Facelift surgery and Botox and Dysport perform different functions. Botox and Dysport relax the muscles that are causing wrinkles while surgery lifts and tightens the facial soft tissues. In my experience, the results from surgery are more dramatic then with Botox and Dysport.
I have a few depressed acne scars on my face. Would fillers like Juvederm and Restylane make the scars less noticeable?
I would have to see you or photos of you to give you a good idea of what would work best. Restylane or Juvederm are certainly a possibility. I use my Fraxel Repair laser often for acne scars which is very effective. Occasionally, I do surgical scar excisions which can be very effective.
