I recently had my cheek implants removed and now it appears as if my face looks saggy. Is it safe to have Restylane injections to help give me a firmer appearance?
Yes, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm or Juvederm Ultra Plus can be injected to fill out the cheeks. These are simple procedures with minimal downtime and minimal risk.
I have always felt very self-conscious about my appearance because I feel as if my face is too flat. I want to get facial implants in my cheeks and chin. Is it possible to have the implants put in both locations during the same surgery? Will this make the recovery any more difficult for me?
Yes, there is no problem placing cheek and chin implants at the same time. It makes sense to do them at the same time so that there is only one trip to the operating room with only one anesthetic. It is also more cost effective to do both procedures at the same time. The recovery may be slightly more uncomfortable doing both, but niether procedure is very painful.
I have had Botox injections to relieve muscle spasms and now I would like to take advantage of the cosmetic applications. What regions of the face does Botox treat? Would it relieve deeper creases on my neck?
I use botox to treat forehead, crow’s feet and lip wrinkles- Also, for verticle neck bands and bumpy chins. I also use it to treat overly sweaty palms and armpits.
I feel as though my face is not in balance and the major problem is the chin. I would like chin augmentation but do not know what shape I want. Does your office have digital imaging capabilities?
Yes, a chin implant can give the face much better balance and yes, I do have a digital imager. The issue that the imager helps with is the size of the implant and not so much with the shape of the implant. Digital imaging is a great tool to help patients get an idea about the possible surgical outcomes.
I want my face reshaped to look more esthetically pleasing. Chin implants would help my profile and I would like cheek implants to give some definition to my face. If this can be done under local anesthesia, is the recovery time less? Would I be able to get back to work sooner?
Cheek and chin implants can be done under local anesthesia, but it is much nicer to have them done under sedation or general anesthesia. Having sedation or general anesthesia does not prolong the recovery.
