GETTING RID OF MY TURKEY NECK WITH A NECKLIFT
I exercise daily and have since I was in my twenties. I eat the right foods, go to bed early and live a healthy lifestyle. I look pretty good, except for this turkey neck that has been grafted onto me. I should have bought stock in a turtleneck clothing company years ago. If I had a neck lift, what is the recovery time? How long before I see the final results?
I do isolated necklifts in younger patients who still have elasticity in their skin so that once the muscles are tightened and the fatty tissue is removed, the skin will go back up where it belongs. In patients who have lost the elasticity in their skin, I do a necklift as part of a facelift so that the excess skin can be removed from the facelift incisions around the ears so that the neck skin can be tightened. The final results are seen in a few weeks.
