NOSE JOB FOR A WIDE NASAL BRIDGE
Question:
The bridge of my nose is very wide and I’d like to have a nose job to fix this. How is this done? Will it require my nose to be broken?
Answer:
Yes, to narrow a wide nasal bridge, osteotomies (cuts in the nasal bones under the skin) are performed so that the bones can be moved closer together. Although this would seem to be a painful procedure, most patients don’t complain of alot of pain at all. I give Tylenol#3 which is a gentle pain medication to patients and this or plain tylenol controls the pain very well.
