USING THE SAME INCISION SPOT IN A REVISION RHINOPLASTY
I had a nose job years ago and I was never entirely happy with the results. I’d like to get a revision procedure but have a question about the incision and the scar. My first procedure was an open rhinoplasty procedure. I’m assuming the second procedure will need to be the same so how does that work? Is the same incision used or is a second incision made? Will I have additional scarring?
I would have to see photos of your nose to determine if an open or closed rhinoplasty would be best for your revision. Typically, I use open rhinoplasty and in that case, I would likely use the prior incision. These incisions heal very well and redoing the old incision is typically not a problem at all.
